Does anyone know if you can you save that lizard guy in the pirate base in section 2-0?
I'm guessing you mean 2-D? There's no 2-0, but maybe the D looked like a 0 to you. If that's what you meant, the answer is no. He dies regardless of which choices you make.

Yeah, it is odd. It doesn't even affect any stats or other choices.
