After 1 week constantly playing this I can say that this is probably the best one-page tool kit available - at least to my knowledge. There is however one, just one flaw: it is too hard. If you play by the rules you get 3 points to distribute within 6 attributes. The DC for normal is 8. Even under normal circumstance you fail most of the time. At least I did, so I tweaked it. I added a skill system (see my first comment below) or I rolled the stats according Scarlet Heroes (4d6/drop lowest) and used its modifiers. That got me a decent change for survival. Am I the only one struggling with the difficulty of those rules?

Yeah I can see that, the issue is that even a +1 is huge with 2d6. I’m tempted to simplify the attributes down to STR, DEX, INT, CHA.

I’m a fan of Cairn’s 3 stats but I do want a difference between the “talk to people” and “cast spells” stat, you know?

That is a good very good idea. 4 attributes such as STR, AGI, INT and CHA are more than sufficient as I see it. I am also not a fan of only 3 attributes. Being smart has nothing to do with being charming. Looking forward to whatever you come up with. Cheers.
