Has been great so far. It somehow crams a whole adventure region full of deadly encounters, fun factions, and a tight narrative into just one page. Super easy to run, the locations are evocative and the NPCs and factions have clear goals and obstacles. No spoilers, but the way the dungeon puzzles link up with exploring the outside world is just *chef’s kiss*!
ah that’s my bad. I’m adapting these rules from Kal-Arath, one of my favorite systems. The quick and dirty answer is that you’re not rolling “against” anything. If you beat an 8, that’s you succeeding on your attack. Enemies can have 1, 2, or 3 armor that can absorb incoming damage. A dragon for example would have 3 armor while a regular leather armor bandit would have 1 and a goblin has none. If you want, you can set the DC based on the enemy. So if you’re fighting something that’s normal you’re trying to beat an 8, if you’re fighting something weak or easy, then beat a 6, and if it’s tough and dangerous u gotta beat a 10 instead. I think I’ll revisit and clarify these rules for version 2.0, (coming soon)
