pretty neat little game, the player character felt very weighty and powerful

I will say there were some things that felt not great, such as the fact that you had to hold the arrow keys and the dash button to dash in the direction you wanted to dash. I was already looking in the direction I wanted to go, so why didn't it just send me that way?

Also, I felt like hitting a hog with the dash should have propelled me up a little bit.

but the movement is cool and heavy, I think its a neat prototype. I have a game that has a similar dash mechanic to attack enemies, so seeing those two ideas side by side is interesting

im going to expand the dashing a little, thats honestly clever i have no clue why i didnt make it so you just dash in your current moving direction with a neutral input.
i also was testing making you bounce if you hit the targets from above, but piercing through them is fun, and it was kinda weird you couldnt do it from above, my idea then would be to hold the dash button to actively pierce but, i think that just adds another unnecessary complexity to the dash, thats when you make use of the jumps, keeping things straight forward.

dang that arrow really helps a lot to control the dash :D
