Let's keep it simple make use the Academy as the central of the places.
First we have the forest, it could and probably surround the academy as proven by some characters that the academy is very close to the forest.
The cave on the other hand could be located deep inside the forest in North since there's a griffin(?) there it would prefer cooler and humidity atmosphere.
Chapel of the elves could be located in the east or west some what close to the forest or inside the forest of the realms since in my very little research (5 minutes) most religion place their gods idol in the east or west direction.
The Plaza, obvious, it would be a straight road from the academy main entrance around 500 meters or 1 miles due to how many houses there are.
The neighborhood (Liz mother home) probably a separate part of the plaza with a short walk distance.
