What's wrong with checking for updates?
What is wrong, is being told AFTER downloading and installing, that it was only a DEMO, and that you had go elsewhere for the actual current free version.
Thank you for pointing this out! We fixed the download links to not to confuse anybody. 0.8.4 is the most current demo, as well as on Steam.
