I have a question: will there be the ability to customize characters like Phoenix or Claudia at the start of the game or in the settings? Their physiology isn't to my taste, but they're visually appealing, and I'd like to retain the ability to interact with them.

negative, those characters are meant to be like that. There wont be a "toggle" for them. They are optional.
