Probably one of those weird things technology does. You know, how some things work for others while some don't. Then you turn off a completely unrelated setting and suddenly it starts working. Computers are weird like that. Code, is weird like that.
I still think it's better to be safe than sorry though, and keep Discord OFF on the off chance the setting decides to just stop working.
