Epic game. Really great job! I played all 10 levels and had fun. It’s crazy this is your first game jam. I haven’t played that many games yet, but if yours won, I wouldn’t be surprised! You can ignore everything after this if you want.

You asked for feedback on the itch page, so I will try and give some because I know it can be really valuable. The only thing that I would try to do is simplify the controls. I got confused sometimes and reset a bomb instead of toggling explode, which was frustrating. Here’s how I would approach it based on my experience with the game: First, I’d just have a dedicated explode button because switching to explode mode is just one extra click before I get to see the result. Every bomb could have their own, but ideally it would be only one explode button for all (not at once ofc). Specifically, I’m not sure if it’s necessary to be able to control every bomb individually. It would be much simpler to click and spawn each bomb. So click one time, first bomb spawned, click second time, second bomb spawned, etc. Explosion would work the same, click, first bomb explodes, click second. And then have an undo button so you can reposition them if needed. Why would I do it this way? Here’s how I played the game: I’d set up the first bomb and see where the box would land. Then I’d place the second bomb around the landing spot and see how that would propel the box, and so on. What I would NOT do: place all four bombs in the beginning. So really, that fine-grained control was unnecessary for me. I think this would make it easier to learn and get in the grove. Again, this is all based on how I played the game, so your style or goal for the game might have been different. Either way, the game is top notch for me! Great job and sorry for the long text!

Hey dude, really appreciate the thorough feedback. Don't apologize, this is excatly the kind of feedback we would hope to get. And you're absolutely right. I played the game exactly how you described it, and at one point, I was asking my teammate if he gets the controls, because I was wondering if it's not too complicated. Unfortunatelly, there was no time left for me to rethink the controls, and I'm afraid I can't update the game after submitting it, so it is what it is for now.

There are many great and polished games submitted, as you'll see, but we're flattered and humbled to hear that you think our game could be the winner :)

Thanks again for amazing feedback, I will play and rate your game tomorrow in return.

I’m happy my feedback helps! Of course, it’s not something that needed to be in the game for the jam, as I said, still top score in my opinion. I just started to code, and there were many (many) things I had to throw out, too. Also ended up with an ultra-hard game accidentally. Good ol’ game jams.
