I'm glad you liked the game! Some players found it difficult to figure out the goal of the game and the controls, so I am glad you've been able to do so. Thank you for playing!

So, after your thorough feedback yesterday for our game, I figured the least I could do is beat your high score. And after 15 minutes or so, I've finally been able to do so ! Just by one point though, I managed to get 69 :D

I think the game is pretty fun. It gets you to the action fast, you can do one run after another, it's pretty addicting. Here are my two cents:

  • I think the boxes should fly in independently, not with yokai behind them. Found myself confused a couple of times and ran my a** straight into them :D Which was frustrating a bit
  • Also, the boxes shouldn't be dropped too close to the edge of the level. Feels unfair, as you have no way of dodging the yokai if you are too close to the edge to defuse the bomb and it happens to fly from that side, but you lose points if you don't defuse it.

Congrats on your submission!

Can you please provide your PC specs ? Will try to investigate after the jam. Also, do you have hardware acceleration turned on in browser ?

Hey, thanks for playing our game! I think the vibes we were going for were more like have fun, try out different bomb placements and blow stuff up. We didn't want it to feel too challenging or "skill based". Thank you for your perspective though, the feedback is of course welcome.

As for the controls, yeah those are bit too much I think, as I have said in my other comment. Wish I had more time to rethink and play with those more.

Thanks for playing!

Sorry to hear. Wonder what it could be. Thanks for trying anyways!

Thank you for playing and for the comment !

Hey dude, really appreciate the thorough feedback. Don't apologize, this is excatly the kind of feedback we would hope to get. And you're absolutely right. I played the game exactly how you described it, and at one point, I was asking my teammate if he gets the controls, because I was wondering if it's not too complicated. Unfortunatelly, there was no time left for me to rethink the controls, and I'm afraid I can't update the game after submitting it, so it is what it is for now.

There are many great and polished games submitted, as you'll see, but we're flattered and humbled to hear that you think our game could be the winner :)

Thanks again for amazing feedback, I will play and rate your game tomorrow in return.

Thanks for playing!

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Well polished, nice music and visuals. Great entry !

Cool game, in a way it's similar to our submitted game, so that was great to see :) Good luck with the ratings

Thanks for comment and for playing! :)

The music gets a little repetitive afer a while. Also, there's not much challenge, the game basically plays itself after a few upgrades. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it for what it has to offer and this was a nice submission!

Cool game, i woul like to be able to speed up if I want (if i got the result in my head before i can see the boxes), also the camera could be a little better, as other have pointed out - it can be difficult to see next row. Otherwise, nic submission !

The animations feel very smooth and nice, also the end is a funny little twist. I liked this one!

Nice game!

This is nice submission! Love the art style

Cool little survivors type game. There is a lot on the screen happeining once you got a few upgrades and survive for a few minutes, felt really awesome with all the explosives!

Cool concept, maybe the better approach would be if the game was sending waves indefinitelly till you die. This way, it felt a bit too short. Nice little game nevertheless !

I think the cooldown for the bomb is not really neccessary. Or at least the bomb should start to place itself as long as the cooldown is over and the mouse click happened before the end of the cooldown. Anyways, other than that, the concept is pretty cool - simple and works really well ! In a way, the game is simillar to our game, where you move the box using explosion :D

Pretty basic game, looks like made by a beginner, so congratulations to your submission! The game is pretty basic. It would be nice if the bomb were a little lighter; it would also be nice if the levels were larger and the slingshot’s shooting power could be regulated better, similar to in Angry Birds.

Concept is good, just more level variety would be great! Also, i like the toon shading.

Pretty interesting take on the theme. It's pretty short, gets to the ending quickly, which is good for a game jam game. And it's funny. The game visuals feel a little unfinished, but the animated intro and the funny ending make up for it :)

It would be cool if the camera followed the player, controlls get a bit frustrating when moving near the edge of the screen. The idea of the trees moving on inpact is interesting, i would like to be able to push them away more easily tho. Also, cool visuals! Overall really nice submission! Looks quite complete, and the screenshots are immediately eye-catching!

Yeah this game is very well made as others have pointed out, really ejoyed plaing it, cool concept, cool visuals, really polished. Very good submission !

Can't seem to beat the fourth level. Can i somehow move the bomb vertically ?

Otherwise a fun little game, basic concept but it works well :)

Thank you!

Thank you for playing. Yeah, i guess when you play the game so much as its author, you don't notice that the objective might not be so clear for others :)

cool concept, somethimes i got stuck inside the boxes, but otherwise a fun game !

You have to run through the level multiple times to get the hang of the explosions happening, since they're pretty unexpected and feel random at first. Maybe some timer, or some warning that the explosion will happen would help.

Cool entry otherwise, thanks for submitting ! :)
