Unfortunately most of these are due to the web build. I've found that alternating between tab and ESC to open the pause menu, then clicking on the resume button with your mouse, seems to work for me, and it's worked for most of my play-testers, but I'd understand if there's a few oddball cases out there. The lighting being blindingly bright is also due to the web build unfortunately, since Godot 4.5 changes your graphics API from Vulkan to OpenGL when exporting the game for web builds. For how terrible your experience seemed to be, I'm surprised you gave me a positive review at all, lol.
