I'm a brainlet, I played the tutorial, I don't know what I'm doing, I lost on tutorial some money on the first roll, then the field went gray but I could put money there so I guess that's a bug. My main complaint comes from the craps itself? What is "on point", why can I bet only on pass line when the on point is there, there are so many hidden rules just to confuse players I'm not surprised we don't see that game anywhere. The shop is another one, we can buy stuff, we can buy different dice, now choosing to throw 3x4 should disable horn bets and hardways since you can't win those at all in that configuration. More explanation is needed what ON point does.

There are some problems when shop leaves the screen, value for old bets is still visible but it's not updated with current state of the table. Also why other players can play around with die?

Also FUCK pit boss, stealing my money.

Overall, it's not my type of a game.

Sorry it was so confusing, hopefully I can clarify some.  Craps seems complicated, but it's not as bad once you get the basics.

>What is "on point"

When the game starts, the "Point" is off.  When a 4, 5, 6 or 8,9,10 are rolled, the point is now "on" that number.  It stays on that number until it is rolled again, or a 7 is rolled.

So here's a breakdown, going through some imaginary rolls to see what happens.

Scenario 1:

>First roll is a 4.  The point is now "On" 4.
>The second roll is a 5.  The point is already "On", so there is no change.
>The third roll is a 4.  The point was "On" 4, and 4 has rolled again.  This is a win!  Yay!

Now the point moves "Off", and the cycle restarts.

Scenario 2:

>First roll is a 11.  Because that is not a 4, 5, 6 or 8,9,10, the point stays "Off"
>Second roll is a 5.  The point is now "On" 5.
>Third roll is a 8.  The point is already "On" 5, so nothing happens.
>Fourth roll is a 9.  The point is already "On" 5, so nothing happens.
>Fifth roll is a 3.  The point is already "On" 5, so nothing happens.
>Sixth roll is a 7.  This is a loss.  Boooo!!

Now the point moves "Off", and the cycle restarts.

I hope that makes sense, here's a youtube video that also explains it:

>There are some problems when shop leaves the screen, value for old bets is still visible

Interesting, I'll look into it.

Sorry it is so confusing, it's not you, it's how I explain things.  Hopefully I can keep improving and make things easier to understand.  Thanks for playing!

I think the biggest thing is the tutorial that should be worked on since you get thrown in and there is a lot going on for most people new to craps. I do like all of the new additions with the random people playing with the player, but I wish they weren't all the same black woman looking smug. I feel that could allow for a lot of personality to shine through. I think it will be interesting to see how this develops.

There should definitely be a variety of NPCs, although it is just random, so you could end up with a lot of the same.

I’ll definitly work on the tutorial.  I need to find a good balance of letting the player play, and telling them how stuff works.

thanks for playing!

I don't actually play craps so I don't think I have any good feedback but I enjoyed the game!

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed it!  I’ll take any feedback, I’m trying to make it accessible for non-craps players, so please share anything you want!

Hmm.. Probably the tutorial? I believe even the basic tutorial should encapsulate every bet with live examples. I think (willing) new players will learn a lot just from direct example which you can easily do by scripting outcomes in the tutorial. I picked it up pretty quickly personally but the tutorial probably leaves a lot to be desired.

UI bugged out in the pass line tutorial

Thanks, those tutorials are a little old at this point, I need to go over each one and clean them up.

For sure. I'm not a huge craps guy so I'm not that good at it but I like this game a lot! You've made a lot of good progress since last DD
