If you mean you're waiting for one of your games to be indexed, itch.io staff will get to it when they can. If it takes too long, contact support. If support also doesn't answer after a time, you can post your ticket ID here like the rules of this category says.
All the projects that have a cover image are indexed and even some of those that do not.
It's about "promotion". OP wants to get featured on top of recent as a way of promotion. Made a devlog 20 days after publishing after that answer here https://itch.io/post/14704939 and of course is not featured on recent.
