Really good game! especially impressive knowing you pulled it off within just 24 hours. There’s a surprising amount of story here, and it actually takes some time to get through, which is great. I know you didn’t have enough time to add the proper ending, but that’s totally fine given how much is already in place. Just ONE THING: I WANT TO KNOW HOW IT COULD HAVE ENDED!!!

For keyboard users, it would feel more natural to use E for interactions instead of Z, and being able to use the mouse for the computer segments would be a nice touch. That said, it’s cool that you made it work with a gamepad too, definite bonus points there. I did notice that some dialogue reappears when opening cameras or interacting with things you’ve already checked... maybe consider having each line show only once.

The art style is fantastic. I love pixel art, and your backgrounds and characters look great. The dark, dramatic story fits the Halloween spirit well and nails the uninvited guest theme. The music sets the mood nicely too. Adding a few more sound effects here and there would really elevate the atmosphere even more. Overall, a strong and well-executed entry.

Thank you, thank you! I will continue to work on this game to give it a conclusion between work and my free time - I already had the story all mapped out but I spent way too much time drawing and trying to figure out how some of the coding works, and hence ran out of time! Unfortunately GB studio doesn't allow for mouse input as it's mainly for the gameboy. But I can definitely change the keyboard bindings to E (which makes sense, most PC games E is for interaction as you rightly pointed out). Thank you again for your lovely feedback and for playing
