This one was really well presented! The UI layout is excellent, especially thanks to the soft color scheme and the efficient - but comprehensive - layout. The same goes for the variety of fun character outfits.

The concept is also really unique, playing the theme straight but with its own take. I enjoyed the short time with the game, figuring its challenge out with some careful thinking - although I did wonder about how it could be expanded on. For example, I noticed that some outfits never seemed optimal for some models - and wondered if there might be hypothetical scenarios where they're emphasized to score better (ex: "cute" style on Kagura), so that they get more showtime in the game. It's not a necessity, of course, and the game plays well beyond that!

Otherwise, the Gensokyo fashion scene is written well, so the entire game feels natural to play. It was overall a quite fun experience. Thank you for making this! ^.^

in my dream i am the tailor it’s me

simple gameplay loop helped tremendously by the sheer amount of fun outfits. seriously, this is an UNREAL amount for a 3 day jam. makes it a little sad that there’s such a clear path to win, it’s hard to fully appreciate the cool outfits when it’s so often just worse with no upside to use them - maybe having each competition favor certain outfit types in addition to their normal character-specific scores could add some depth? either way, a short but sweet experience. wish i had more to say about it, but it’s straightforward in a refreshing and enjoyable way.

Thank you!
Yeah, the idea for style points was more in-depth, with different requirements and further ways to improve style and quality, but it had to be streamlined because of the jam's timeframe

Blasted Madonna to the final show and it worked great. All of the outfits are lovely and do a great job taking advantage of the theme.

I love gambling!

All the outfits are great, and I especially love Kaguya's cute outfit. Unfortunate that jam time limits hindered the points system as many of the outfits are not optimal (I used them anyway). I hope I didn't end up missing any characters, it would be a shame to miss out on awesome art because of gacha mechanics.

Developer

Thanks!

There are 9 models in total, 4 1-stars, 3 2-stars, and 2 3-stars. You can exchange fashion magazines for the ones you want to get on the scout screen!

I'm not sure if it was a bug or intentional but I made koishi my fifth model in the last contest and she just flew into the audience before going back into the backstage like normal lol.

This game's got lots of creative and cute outfit designs. But what I find weird is the point values given to each style. What's the point of ever choosing an outfit for a model that has a lower SP than another? Like why ever make an outfit that isn't cool for mokou? Not sure if that's due to some cut mechanic or if the sewing has some hidden mechanic related to achieving the masterpiece that I don't know about.

Regardless, I had fun with the game even if it is fairly easy once you know what to do and expect. If each day had more stuff to do (like being able to sacrifice a day to get money. Since you might get screwed over if you forget to buy fabrics) or if some contests had specifically increased score for certain styles, or other such things to make it more complex, I would find this as a pretty legit management game.

Several people have mentioned the fifth model flying off the stage, so seems like some kind  of pathing mistake that I missed.

The SP system was planned to be more in-depth with each event requiring a certain number of certain style of dresses, but I decided to give it up because I wasn't sure I could balance everything in such a short period.

Still, glad you had fun! Thank you!

I found it really funny considering I happened to have koishi exactly on there. Maybe you could keep that pathing in for her specifically if you decide to update the game.

agree, happened to me too also with Koishi and I was like "yeah, that makes sense, Koishi would do that" lol

This is a fun game! I liked the core loop and it has a lot of replayability with the amount of characters you can play around with. (I can't imagine how much effort you spent on art assets) I feel like the progress bar going up when you're sewing could be communicated a little better (I only noticed on the third fashion show), but otherwise it's a really nice game!

Developer

Thanks!
Yeah, the progress bar ended up a bit messy since I tried to incorporate both the sewing progress and dress quality into it

Oh wow this concept is so fun! I love that Rinnosuke is our Fashion Mentor. I always have fun with games where you have to select your resources very carefully so this was enjoyable. I suppose my only complaints are that the stats are pretty much fixed when you figure out the best combinations (I don't know why I expected this to change T__T), the fact that you cannot close the model selection interface, and the lack of music ):. But in general I think this is super fun and fits the prompt!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!

The model selection and exchange screens can actually be closed by right-clicking anywhere (I should have probably made it left-click like with everything else
