Thanks for checking the game out. A straightforward mini-map would indeed would indeed defeat the purpose, but I could maybe work something out using the trails the player leaves at least to give you an idea where you've explored in the space. :)
It is incredibly well crafted and fundamentally incredibly creative game design.
Really looking forward to this new update. There goes my upcoming Saturday afternoon, I think.
