I'll make my own thread on my thoughts sometime. I been playing the unstable testing branch same as many others for about 3 days now.

I Feel I can respond to many of these. ^^

1.0 ; There is no 1.0 oop. okay onto

1.1; While the chair icon is big and bright, I think it's a nice to have. If it was smaller and less glowy, It'd be much nicer. It's really just good to know that you can actually sit down in some of those chairs in the lunch room now.

1.2; The only extra UI stuff while you're handing the tuning knobs is a small number, and you immediately look up anyway to check the panel. So... This isn't really an issue.

1.3; The Trash piles I feel are there to help the base feel filthier, while being less of a performance hog for those with lower tier systems. Whenever the drone comes by, just pick up trash and throw it into the drone for funsies and a little extra coin.  Buuut I would keep Metal, Electronic, Plastic and Glass trash. .. which is like... 4/6 of the kinds.  :3 You'll need them.

1.4; uh, what's the complaint here. The hashes with the floppies taking too long for you? Sometimes it works first try, other times it doesn't. If it helps, look away from the panel and it might stop being shy and do it's job. Yes sometimes it does take longer, but if you lived through the era of Floppy discs, you'd get a giggle from the nostalgia. I sure did.

1.5; Server panel has sound alerts you can toggle off. Dunno if the detector is included but, I find it rather ambient. It also helps me remember if I have a signal up at all.

1.6; I think this point is mayyyybe about.. putting floppy discs into the drive?   Just hold it in your hand and Left Click, that'll insert them into the drive.  Dunno what this is about :'D

2.0;  oop, there's no 2.0. Time to skip to 2.1

2.1; The ATMs are here with a secondary purpose. Sure, you can use the notes to buy food from the vending machines, but you can also use them to transfer your points into future save files through the Mailbox system.  So, It's a huge feature that many seem to overlook.

2.2; No notes here. I love the new ATV too, but I hate the battery and how it costs 150 points to replace. It just functions as a secondary fuel to worry about. I understand if we leave the headlights on, that it should go flat. That makes perfect sense, but it really does need an alternator to charge the battery up while driving around in the daylight hours.  I haven't gotten to the point where I've been able to test the Solar Panel yet, maybe that fixes it.  It does just suck how the early game on a fresh save is so limited by a car battery.

2.3; I love the new triangulation system. It feels more intuitive and it's just an extra mechanic to add a little more depth.  *However*, my big problem is with those co-ordinates towers constantly imploding, and the fuses being way too expensive to even think of replacing.... but I'll touch on that in my own thread.

2.4; It's not worse. It just takes time to get used to. Throwing things, I admit, is a little jank. But I got used to it before day 10. And I'm an idiot so... Anyone can \o/

2.5; Oh you did mention the fuses. Yeah no notes here. They suck ass.

2.6; Tutorial is too hand holdy?  I mean, it's a step by step guide, but if you already know how to handle the new control scheme upon your very first loading of the game since 0.8.2, Then you can easily skip ahead by grabbing the keycard, going through the door and breezing through the console tutorial.

Believe me, This console tutorial was NEEDED.. People are slow learners, and I've watched friends of mine stream the tutorial for upwards of *2 hours* struggling. Sure, they're not the brightest crayons in the shed, but I legit had to get on a call to help them out. XD  So.. Yes. I welcome this tutorial upgrade.  At least it's not as bad as Pokemon ZA.

This game ain't nowhere near as tedious as My Summer Car. Take that back :(

I jest, but hey. Hope my insight maybe helped or somethin'.

I like replying to big posts like this. Well written, mostly.

You can't just skip ahead in the tutorial, the game teleports you to whatever step your on and says to complete the task.

Okay, you found the one way you can. I tried doing it multiple times after realizing the tutorial was shit and it kept teleporting me.

Hey thanks for taking the time to reply. I'll go more indepth on some of the points to help understand my thought process a little better and alleviate a misunderstanding or two.

1.1; In my opinion it is just far too much for something far too unimportant. At most add a chair in the tutorial and add floating text above it that says "You can sit in chairs by looking at the seat". And to me it significantly takes away from the immersive-ness of the game

1.2; My complaint is that it's not immersive when you have large low res numbers show up. It's not a massive complaint, not all of the points are equally important to me but it's enough to mention.

1.3; My problem again stems from how non-immersive it looks when you're dealing with it, a large pile of unchanging mystery trash that suddenly disappears when you meet the number limit of how much you took out. I'm also not sure it does affect performance noticeably as the largest performance hog in the entire game is shadows. In the base with shadows on 2 or 3 I get around 20-30 fps with all the lights on and 40-50 with either the lights off or on shadows 1 with actually worse performance in 0.9 compared to 0.8.2c.

And I'm fully aware of the value of scraps and such.

1.4; And yes my complaint is that it takes longer based on rng and if you're already running low on time (If your timescale is on 1 it can be a real mf) it can cause a lot of grief for not improving the experience at all. I'd be fine with it if it didn't fail and retry constantly.

1.5; I tried the sound toggle options, none of them toggled the detector. My issue stems from the fact that it is *always* beeping incessantly, it does so especially if you don't have a signal selected. The rest of the sounds that they added to the download process I also find annoying but it's less of an issue.

1.6; This was a very minor gripe I had that I just decided to add anyway cause I didn't want to create another section specifically for minor ones. With stuff like putting drives in the slots you can throw it from across the room and get it in the slot which is a lot of fun but for the  new stuff like the reels and disks you can't do that.

2.1; You pointed out something that I didn't consider, which is exactly why discussion is important and I can see the point of the ATM for that specific purpose.

2.6; I believe I didn't fully touch up on the tutorial part. My point is that it almost completely restricts freedom now if you do decide to go along with it. I will mention that the wording is significantly better at explaining the mechanics of the game now but letting the player have the option to mess around on their own terms if they so wish seems a lot better to me than disabling features of the game until you do a specific action or cross a certain step. I liked having the steps and such just written in bubbles that aren't glued to the screen when I was first playing the old tutorial.

You pointing out the lack of .0's was mildly funny but I've always started from 1 when doing a list like that as the title/topic itself is the 0.

I do hope this cleared up any misunderstandings, apologies if it didn't.
