A really interesting game, and something a bit different to lots of other entries in the jam. A cool art style, and lots of the UI art looked great. The camera controls were smooth, and well considered that the movement speed scales based on the zoom level to avoid whizzing all over the place when zoomed all the way out, nice attention to detail there.
I found the TREAT minigame worked correctly the first time, but then would either play really fast, or auto collect candy / candy would spawn at the top of the screen and then instantly disappear on subsequently play throughs. The TRICK minigame was a nice change of pace, but I could never find any chocolate, and instead found myself triggering and trying to out run the TVs before finding the portal, but would always escape empty-handed.
Music and what SFX there are, were well suited to the games overall vibe, but could use some more SFX / visual feedback in the minigames. Finally the concept behind recruiting and upgrading monsters to do your trick or treating is really cool, but I found that it was a bit hit of miss how effective PumpKing was at helping.
A nice entry with some really cool ideas though, and would be interesting how it develops in the future! Good work!
