An endless runner base on a literary work? Awesome! ;)

A few feedback:

  • I would prefer smoother camera movement, especially when the player is getting up from a slide.
  • On my first run, I got the less pumpkin spawn x2 on the second level. There were no pumpkins at all!
  • Maybe add a start or ready button between levels instead of automatically starting after a few seconds.
  • I think I like “weeee” sfx more than “slide” one.
  • In my own endless runner, I made the first few floor segments empty so players wouldn’t immediately run into obstacles. Something similar here could help to avoid running into bats or gravestones right at the start.

 Yes the camera should be smother and was on my to do list, but as with most things time was against us.
The pumpkins should not have reduced to zero, but it was the luck of the draw and I wanted it to be slightly different on each run.
I agree a ready button and also a pause button are a must for improvements.
Glad you could understand my accent, - was disappointed with how SFX turned out as I felt they did not quite fit in with the music, Another thing on to do list.
And I Totally agree about giving the player a few segments before the start of the run.
