Thank you very much for your review, Dead SM!
Yeah, I’m trying my best to replicate the Master System aesthetic. I would even go as far as to limit the amount of colors shown on screen; however, that’s only after transferring my whole project series to Godot. Also, bugs like the one you’re experiencing, is exactly why I’m moving engines: I believe Clickteam has problems with repetitive toggling of animations.
Odd that now you see horror elements in the game despite not having any intent of such for the demo. There is gonna be some frightening or upsetting aspects in the series as a whole; however, it’s not the main drive of the series.
As for the adult content, I honestly would prefer disappointment of my product being over-rated than upset of my product being under-rated: this is why I’m content with adding 18+ in my marketing whenever it is appropriate. I genuinely don’t mind Itch using that DOB barrier to entry before my games’ pages could be accessed. For this series, when I say “adult subject matter”, I meant it in the broadest aspects of what us adults can comprehend: sex is just one of the many subjects. I genuinely want to add adult subject matter in the games but ONLY when it’s appropriate to the story as a whole: if a sex scene doesn’t make sense with the overall plot, I wouldn’t care to add it. “Gratuitous” is a word I wish to avoid for this series. Yes, there is a reason why Fox Sprite lays eggs and it matters to the overall plot.
As of right now, Arcade and Master are too simple of games to add deep subjects or topics as of this moment. I want players to just get their feet wet before they gradually delve deeper into the real abyss OviVixen can offer… Arcade is just the beach and Master is merely the tide.
