A nice tower defense... well, crypt defense game! Would have been nice to rotate the area/camera but you wrote you made the game harder, ok. The start seemed a classic "haunted house", well done. It fit perfectly to the theme.

In your description you wrote that the controls were L and K but it would have helped to mention that LMB for blocking and RMB for attacks were possible, too. Until yet, I knew it only vice versa.

All in all, I liked it.

Hey — I liked your game Midnight Hour, the haunted-sanity mechanic and the creepy room setup really stood out. I did notice a bug where the skeletons could bypass the shield animation entirely if they spawned too close to the house, which stops players from recovering once the chaos starts. A suggestion: consider reducing spawn density or adding a cooldown when they emerge so players get a moment to respond rather than being swamped instantly. Nice work on this one!

If you’ve got a moment, I’d love it if you could check out my game and leave a rating: https://itch.io/jam/gamedevtv-halloween-jam-2025/rate/3971977

The mix between the worlds was a nice touch. I think it was a bit hard, it would have helped if sleeping would have regenerated your sanity (at least a bit). Didn't get further than the second level. Nice game

its  a really good idea and can be worked on a lot ,  it has potential , the sound and music can be made better but a

great deal over all , like it ,

Woah! To start, I really liked the intro room. It feels liminal and isolating considering the room is without doors, also "spooky old game" aesthetic worked very well here. Felt like I was awoken here in a dream.

As for the main gameplay, the animations and visuals where very nice. An issue I found was how difficult the level was and how it was very difficult to recover once enough skeletons reached your house.

I like how you combined the game theme + provided assets! All feet well.

Cool little castle defender

Really liked visual storytelling in a begining sequence.

Also room itself, seemengly having no door, is creepy, which really adds up to an atmosphere.

As for game itself movement is nice, good animations for both player and NPC. Couldn't see a realistic way to hold up more then 1 minute though. Shield animation is nice, I would suggest making the light coming form it light up a broader area and slow skeletons inside of it, so it's sees more use. Couldn't even get to a fireballs phase ðŸ˜…

Minimap is also a nice touch. Solid work, 7/10

Thank you for playing our game! We made the game harder, because we thought it would be too easy. Sorry to hear that it is quite challenging now XD
