Thanks so much for playing and this detailed and invaluable feedback! I think, the lag issue is not about your pc beacuse mine is a ancient museum piece too. It is probably about exporting a 3d game which contains particles to HTML. I plan to write a post mortem after the jam but i can try to summarize the root of problems you mentioned. I modelled the modules to construct the environment before the design of the level. Then design the level as a discrete operation from coding of the controller. Last minute changes like scaling the level or tuning the controller did not help the perfecting the situation. As for the penalties, my approach was based on the idea of breaking players own records instead of using a predefiened countdown and i agree that some more significant cues for obstacles could be beneficial to avoid hazards. Hopefully i will resolve the issues in upcoming stages of the development.
