To be fair it does say "staff may monitor this forum" and posting here does offer "idea" and "feedback" tags, and OP's issue is also a technical one.

If staff does not in fact monitor this forum, why are we all reporting bugs and issues here? If not here, where?

Get help from the itch.io community. Have a quick question or issue, other members of the community can assist you in finding an answer. If you need to specifically contact itch.io staff you can message our support team. Although staff may monitor this forum, we request that any account related matters be submitted through our support system.

If you read the posts, the vast majority of people don't come to "report," but rather to seek information.

If you need to officially confirm something, or if you need to be sure you're reporting something to staff, the only safe way to do so is to contact support; all other options are a "maybe" (That is, you run the risk of your message never reaching the staff.)

If you read other posts, you'll see that many responses are, "To report to staff, you should do such and such..."

Just because other people try to contact staff here doesn't mean that staff will actually come and read it here; that's a fallacy.

The admin sometimes reads and responds to one or another thread, but if you check, the vast majority of posts are never answered by the admin, and they almost certainly don't read them.

If the admin does read the suggestions, what do you think is most feasible?
Should he read the suggestions section, or should he start reviewing hundreds of posts with questions he didn't read at the time, to see if a suggestion pops up?

Now, maybe Leafo comes along and says he does read all the posts. As far as I can remember, I've never read anything like that, but it's possible. In that case, it won't matter where you make the suggestion. But in the absence of that confirmation, I already explained why it's better to make suggestions in the suggestions section and not here.

I have read the recent posts and people are indeed coming here to report issues.

On the support page, the first link under "Bugs & feature requests" links right here to this forum. I feel like OP was unfairly criticized for possibly being in the wrong place, because this is in fact the place it points to for both issues AND feature requests. The link may read "Ideas & Feedback," but it links here to "Questions & Support."

No one criticized it; I simply told him he wasn't in the right place to make  suggestions. Period.

For my part, I wish you a good day, and please, when you read a post, always try to read without attributing bad intentions. Keep in mind that people from many countries gather here and not all of us have English as our mother tongue, or the same culture, maybe to you a certain phrase may seem like an unjustified criticism, but to another person, it seems simply correct to express a point, you don't have to look for bad intentions, because many times there aren't any, remember, we can't see each other's faces or expressions, we don't really know the tone of a speech and the rule is to always read in good faith.

If the link from that page points incorrectly, then you've found an error, and it's best to report it to the staff so they can correct it.

I wouldn't know how to describe where such errors should be reported, but perhaps when the moderator reads this, they can tell you the best way to report this incorrect link.
