This was really well put together for a game jam game. and one of the most engaging I've played. Loved the writing, art style and ambience. I achieved ending 2 & 7! kinda wished I consumed more monsters... I feel like that may have gotten me the 8th ending?
Anyway, good narrative, I saw the theme clearly, made me laugh and it made me curious! excellent work :)
Yes the movement at times was a little slow, especially if I needed to move from one end of the hotel to the next. Though, you cluttered the world enough that I found the walks interesting enough. such as admiring a new painting along the way!
I think its important to make some time for people to take in the world you create too, so definitely consider that if you make exploration faster :)
