I really would not have thought to encounter a game mechanic like this in a game jam. So: Very well done on the creativity part! Reminds me a bit of the game Ghostrunner. I would love to see this in a more fleshed out version somewhen in the future ♥

Now, I did encounter a few problems, which probably are not that hard to fix: I found the player character sometimes not wall-climbing properly. But I guess I just hit the walls in a weird angle. The only other thing really, is the fact that I would love a bit more explanation as to why we are running from death (?) or are death but running (?). I was quite a bit confused on the story part of this.

But again, thank you for blessing this game jam with your game!!!

Yeah, we struggled implementing that mechanic but it turned out okay.  Also we had a better cut scene in mind for the beginning but also one for the end. We planned dialogue and all kinds of other stuff but ultimately ran out of time and this ended up being the final product. Thanks for the feedback!

Really interesting mechanic — I liked it a lot. Simple, beautiful, and efficient.

If you have a moment, I’d love if you could check out mine too! Play it here: https://kaijota.itch.io/graverun

We had lots of problems to get the wall run working properly. We are glad you enjoyed the final result! We'll check your game soon too, thanks for the comment!

Nice, reminds me of Mirrors Edge, good game

Developer

That's one crazy comparison but we appreciate it, haha!

That's challenging! Great music. It's got a nice feel once we get the hang of it. Good art too. Enjoyed the game entry!

Developer

That's funny because this was originally way harder and we had multiple levels in mind. Ultimately we ran out of time. Thank you for your feedback.

Very cool to see a parkour game! I don’t know if it was me but I had no sounds playing. Other than that it was seamless and enjoyable :)

Developer(+1)

Are you sure you didn't have your desktop sounds / browser muted, or maybe from settings put the sliders down? We tested this and it should work on both versions (executable and browser). That is a shame because the music and sounds really enhance the atmosphere further! Thanks for your comment though!

Yeah it must have been me I tried it again and the music is playing now! Good work :)
