love love love the surreal and creepy imagery in this!! However, I was having some trouble figuring out how interactions with the memories work, unless I missed out on a control the yellow particle places or walking around it doesn't do anything, so I wasn't quite sure on the context there(though I did get the fishing rod). I also feel like if the map was smaller it would make the gameplay more engaging as to compensate for the amount of things that are interactable/give progression. Overall though really interesting world you made here, good work!

Thank you so much for the input! I did stupidly decide to do all of the programming and debugging (besides the movement controls, which I did first) in one night, right before releasing it. That being said, I didn't take my time to put in any kind of tutorial (whoops!). The yellow glowing areas, being on the docks, are only interactive when you have the Fishing Rod. There's no specific controls to interact, you only need to get close to the object. Most of the memories (items) are collectable only if you have another specific item, and the Fishing Rod is the most important part. I classified this game as a puzzle game, so it may be very confusing, but if you keep exploring, there are 9 items you can collect in total.
