Since we've taken more time with this new version we have a few more suggestions that might help...
We noticed that the complexity of the huge ruffle dress is exacerbated when making multi-colour designs by the difficulty in working out which piece should be made with which fabric (see other comments for other people who have had this problem). Can I suggest that it be possible for the player to mark the pieces with a colour or, easy for the player and more smooth in terms of game flow, that the colours the player marks in the notebook for each piece be transferred to the pieces used for cutting; this would allow players to tell which piece is which without needing to understand the word order that is currently the only clue!
It might be helpful to tell the player in the tutorial that the notebook contains all the previous dresses you have made as well as the fact that you can recut pieces on the cutting table from the same or different fabric so that you can try them on the mannequin and then remove them and recut them... unless you have sewn any of the surrounding pieces... that includes if one of the pieces wasn't there yet (placing the missing piece instantly locks it in place - kinda counter intuitive!
We had one case of the back button disappearing on the cutting table... not sure what caused it but we had cut some pieces out and wanted to go back and check which pieces went where but were unable...
Also when placing pins for piping or lace clicking off the edge of the fabric means the pin is not placed where it is shown but this makes placing these items very difficult and requires a good view of the edge of the fabric to place the pins so close to the edge (where a lot of this sort of thing is going to be placed...) maybe it could be made that pins are placed as close to the cursor as possible that is still on the fabric (as it seems that is how the pins are displayed :)
