I like the idea, it is interesting to trying to find chains of atoms and click on them. Needs really good timing. Personally, I would prefer to see more challenge, otherwise I can just click randomly and still be rewarded

Early on the challenge is in finding a good chain reaction but later on the game plays itself and the challenge is in finding the optimal upgrade path.
