so wait...the itch version is 3 versions behind the patreon, BUT you still need to buy the itch version rather than being able to access it for free? so you kind of pay twice to truly get access to the game??? unless I misunderstand something, that is a rather greedy way of selling the game

You pay once to get the Itch.io version, our most stable public release. You don’t need to pay again, and you’ll receive all future updates.

Itch.io builds are typically a few versions behind Patreon’s developer builds, which are still in active testing.

In short, Itch.io has the most up-to-date publicly available version. Patreon builds are experimental and not yet officially released.

On dev terms:

Itch.io is the main branch, fully merged and tested.
Patreon builds are the dev branch, where we’re still pushing commits and fixing merge conflicts.

that is correct, its kinda sad why its delayed by 3 months worth of version. id say make it 1month & im happy
