Cute game. I like playing an underdog, the story reminds me of Goblins Comic, or even Dungeon Keeper.
It's nice that each slime have a different style and strategy.
I'm curious, why not calling them Slimes? Is that copyrighted?
I do hope to see them grow to powerful creatures and see how will that look like, are they going to be huge slimes? are the going to merge? will other monsters join them?
The mechanics got a bit repetitive after a while, but I'm assuming that will improve with new content updates.

I'm not sure on your comment about not calling them slimes. We do call them slimes when talking about them. It may not currently be used in the dialog in-game, but only because it did not fit the current dialog. When we add the rest of the story, and the towns, you will see more slimes, and they will talk about the various Slime Clans and the special talents of each (such as your characters being able to absorb power by consuming items). As you travel you will visit towns populated by various other creatures. We don't currently plan for any to join you, but they will do typical town NPC stuff, such as shop keepers, quest givers, flavor text, or being part of story events.
The art is going to be updated to add more animations, though we are not planning for them to grow huge. There will be some changes as they level up, but probably more subtle than major. We don't currently have plans for any merge abilities, but that may eventually be an option. Right now we have cut back some of the potential ideas to focus on getting the core game done. Once that is in place we will revisit some of the additional ideas that will take a bit more to implement.
