I really enjoyed the demo and I'm so excited for what's to come... Carrot you're really a master of making VNs feel immersive what with all the music, FX, CGs, different screens, etc. I know it takes tons of work and time... I find it really hard to get super "into" some VNs where all the legwork is on me to imagine everything being described on screen as though it's a book, but then having trouble getting immersed because of the distracting images on screen that are speaking... etc etc. I always get so immersed in Our Wonderland on every replay that I treat it like a special event.. by Act 2 I'm 100% dead to the world around me lol. I loved getting to meet all these new characters and I feel like I already know them so well.. there was all sorts of subtle foreshadowing too (not that I know what's being foreshadowed) and you did great at introducing the characters and teasing their backstories in really subtle ways, this is just my first playthrough but I'm getting that Marshall is like a sports (football?) commentator and assumedly because of a prior injury... Cordy who has two kids but assumedly isn't in a relationship?? And the little thread of something between him and Gum? And I am crazy or are there threads of past romantic tension/drama between other characters too?? Gum obviously is distant from the group but i also get a bit of a distant vibe from Berek... and Ze seems to be the attention seeker friend who doesn't actually seem to be doing so well either.. sometimes it seems tense because they all have such different personalities clashing at any one point in time and then they just slide effortlessly into messing with each other like long term friends. I mean obviously it's because you've had lots of practice but you're so great at capturing the vibe of a childhood friend group stretched a little thin in adulthood.. Reminds me of my highschool friends a little bit LOL. Honestly I feel like I could relate to any of these characters because they all come across so human and real. I'm super excited for what's next... and based on some choice lines and how the whole VN leans a lot more "classic horror movie" setup than OW i'm in my head like. is it werewolves. i am not normal about werewolves carrot. If it's werewolves I don't know what I'll do carrot. to me werewolves carry an untapped potential for so many great metaphors (self hatred/internal conflict, negative thoughts, secretly being "different", internalized/externalized anger, etc.) But whatever spooky creature it may be I know it's going to fill the story with spooky spooky psychosexual drama and just maybe... Kill Everyone???? Jk jk... unless... OK this is the end of my review I am done now. I'm glad your Patreon is free and so are your games honestly if they weren't I would probably never have discovered OW and your amazing writing of an ace character helped me understand a lot about myself as someone with a very deep and ridiculous aversion to labels lol.. but i wish i could support you monetarily in some way for all the amazing art you're putting out into the world !! I'm so glad I get to experience it all and can't wait to see what's next. :)
