I can't believe my Morgan became a successful CEO just because his mom guilt-tripped him into it. That would rarely work in real life. Is he happy and satisfied too? lol!
I love the top-down shooter concept, but even on further attempts there are problems with the difficulty. The enemies are way too spongy, it’s hard to tell them apart, and the mom’s projectiles are way too fast. Was there supposed to be a ghost dash mechanic?
I am not 100% sure the game needed multiple weapons. It feels like, style-wise, this could be a winning game, but it needs better (lower) difficulty, and weapon and monster HP balance - oh, and knockback would be sweet!
I would also consider playing with the enemy sizes a bit to make them easier to distinguish. Maybe with free art assets too? Also, if they are positive thoughts, they should not look like evil monsters. It would make the game more fun if they looked like sweet angels or something relating to their description (I know that would be tons of work, so no worries).
Oh, and please, if possible, no text labels on projectiles and enemies. LOLs! It was really cool looking but too away from a pretty solid game entry.
