Yo good work! I'm a indie dev as well working on a pikmin-like. Taking some notes on the level of quality I want to hit for my demo!
Environment/vibe is awesome! The hand reaching down to pull up the gazebo thing is a great touch - otherwise overall cool and cohesive aesthetic.
Tutorial zone is great, primes the combat and shows just enough to get the player thinking about how to utilize and mix mechanics. Combat seems to have some serious depth
Felt a bit lost after tutorial.
I would love to get some feedback on how much incremental/% increased damage I'm doing with each attached maggot.
Noticed some stuttering when particle effects emit (seemed to only be on their first use)
Excited to see the full thing
The weapon VFX increases in size based on the number of maggots attached, but you are right in saying that it could use some better feedback to show that your damage is much higher. This will likely not come in a demo update, but I'll figure something out for the finished game.
Thank you for the feedback and for playing!
