Hello, I am working on my dream game that I have always wanted to do.

Dreamland is a survival game, where you will be able to create your own world by adding new islands. Every night you will be able to select one from 3 randomly choosen cards of biomes to place on your world.   I want the game to be quite long and with pretty much content including Sandbox mode, Many easter eggs, events etc. but for now I'm just working on a simple prototype that will show mainly the Crafting and Selecting Islands features. I'm gonna show some of the screenshots from the game right now! Wait for more updates and please follow the game page.

Ooo I love this idea! Giving the player a choice in biome generation is a cool concept.

Small Update

Hello everyone, since my last post, I’ve been working on the core mechanics of the game that will make it fully playable even in the prototype phase. Maybe one day I will publish the first prototype that will have the core mechanics and small amount of content for everyone. For now, I will just post the comprasion of biomes with random world generation (You can check how much changed from the last post) and the handcrafting tab.

Looks really charming with the super pixelly style. If you should ever need a composer or any sound design, I'd love to be involved. My reel is over at fracturesmusic.com along with more music examples :)

HI!
I’ve just finished a small one-page landing draft for you — just to show what it could look like using the current visual materials from the project.
I’d be happy to send it over (would Gmail work best for you?).

It’s still a bit rough, more of a conceptual sketch to give a sense of direction.
P.S. It’s completely free — I was simply curious and excited to try this kind of work )))

Just waiting on your Gmail so I can send it over for you to check out! 🙌

Hey, you can contact me on ryd3rmail@gmail.com :)

Moving the game to Godot

Hey everyone, I was kinda silent last time because of not enough time to work on the project, but it's still alive :) I decided to move the game from GDevelop 5 to Godot 4. It has already much cons of using it.

- Better optimization, I hope that everyone will be able to play my game in the future (Including mobile players, worser pc's)

- Better, smoother gameplay and animations

- Bigger chance to add multiplayer in the final product, because of better access to resources that can help me understand it

That's all for now, but I have one idea I have to ask about. What do u think about adding multiple character classes to the game, so the gameplay of all will be a little bit different?

This is a late reply, but personally, I think more classes would be a great way to add variety!
