Hello! I got hacked recently and lost my itch account: https://edoweiss.itch.io/
I want to know what can be done to get my account back, or at the very least have the account closed because it's being used to spread malware. I've already submitted a support ticket, but I've received no follow-up.

I've got my own personal affairs in order (as far as I can tell right now), but they were able to change the email on the itch account before I could take action there.

If it takes much longer, you can post your ticket ID here like the rules say and like you see other people doing.

I wasn't really looking for support, but mainly wondering if anyone has gone through the same experience and knows how things go. In any case, the ticket request related to this is 305660.

I've also been pondering this a bit now, and I realize that I have the entire github repo of the one legitimate project on that account as proof of my making it.

It looks like it didn't take too long for the effected account to at least be taken off of itch. About 4-5 days since I initially reported it, but it also included the weekend.

Update for anyone that happens to stumble upon this thread and wants to know the ultimate conclusion:

Because the account was hacked and used to sell malicious content, it was deleted from the site.

Can't say I really expected much more and I'm okay with this.
