The game art is very cute! One improvement for the future - you could extend the collision boxes a bit, sometimes when I'd try to jump close to the edge, it would work. It makes the player feel like the game is not fair! Otherwise, well done!

thanks for the feedback! I will keep that in mind :)

Tip for Godot: In your camera node, enable "Drag Margin H/V Enabled",  and if needed adjust the values under the "Drag Margin" section. It will make the camera movement so much smoother! Nice game overall :)

and thanks for playing and feedback :)

good idea :) and nice execution for a game in 3 hours :) I didn't found a restart button after GameOver. it would improve the experience. GG

Developer

you did not find the restart button, because there is no restart button ;)

thanks for playing and feedback.

Super cute art style!

A few things for the next jams I'd recommend.
1) Take about 10 minutes out of your dev time to poke around with SFXER or Chiptone. They are super awesome sound generating tools and in 10 minutes you will have jump, hit, victory, lose sounds. They add A LOT to the feel of the game.
2) Platformer cameras are tricky, but try to not make the camera follow the player on the Y axis if there is no Y axis platforming to be done. When you jump right now it's hard to know if it's safe to land.
3) Don't worry about bugs, sometimes it's better to move on and just continue working with the bugs in such a short jam.

Good job again!!

hey!

thanks for the valuable feedback!

I clearly overestimated what I could finish in 3 hours. I had my Guitar right next to me to record a simple loop as music and prepared a list of sound effects I wanted to create using the stuff lying around on my desk....

The hint with the camera is great, I'll try it on my next platformer.

Thanks again :)
