This didn’t feel like metroidvania at all. Maybe I didn’t get far enough, I got to what seemed like a boss fight because the music was so dramatically different but didn’t have the patience for it. Jumping felt really sluggish and I didn’t feel like there was any strategy to the combat. The atmosphere and primary attack looked good but the levels were so dark it was hard to appreciate the art.

Hey, thanks so much for giving it a try and sharing your thoughts! Totally get what you mean about the jump, combat, and dark levels. I’ll keep working on improving those in future games and projects.
