Oooh, this was fun! I made it through the resurrection at my first play, even though I forgot about Death Burst for the first half of the game (and I totally forgot the rule about not surpassing 17 for the guards, and that the face cards were 10 points…), but it was fun! The rules took a bit to remember, so a cheat sheet or something might be useful.
I’m not sure if I should’ve taken damage if I got 21 during Preparation (and immediately discarded my hand) and during the following Cast phase the guards had bigger hands than me. (I decided to take the damage.)
I enjoyed the balance between gameplay and journaling, it hit just the right spot for me. I’m definitely playing this again!
