Right now I am working on a straight Port of the Zelda Links Awakening DX Text based on this dump: http://www.zeldalegends.net/view/emulation/dumps/zelda4/dxgerman/z4dump(dxgerman...
Should be better than a machine translation, but I will also fix some translation errors (flute instead of Ocarina), sentence breaks and fix old versions of the new German spelling.
I don't know, how much time I'll find in the coming weeks, but I will send a pull request, if you are okay with that Bighead? Found your repo a few days ago and decided a German script is missing, went searching and found this dead thread. ;)

That would be fantastic. I was tempted to just take the current scripts and run them through an AI or something, but held off on the hopes someone would eventually say "here is the missing German files". I don't mind a PR opened, but I've been pretty careful of uploading anything that is "Content" or Data" to the repository and have instead created a patch system. Even though these would probably not quality as "copyright" materials, I don't take my chances. More on all that here:

The migration tool I've created can be used to create patches from the assets. It requires a little bit of setup and the Content\Data from the 1.0.0 release. And since there is no German yet, the migration tool would need to be updated here which is simply just adding the file names.

That just says "create these files from eng.lng and dialog_eng.lng". After that, running the tool to create patches should generate something like ger.lng.xdelta and dialog_ger.lng.xdelta in the "assets_patches" folder which can then be submitted as a PR. Then locally the migration tool can be used to generate the files from v1.0.0 files.  It's all a lot simpler than it sounds, but if it's too much of a bother you can always just email me the finished language files and I can implement them to. Either way, I'd be happy to add them for the German users.

I'm still just at the start of the script translation (300 of 1169 lines compared, fixed and inserted), but I think I can handle the asset patch generation, if not I will surely get in contact if I can't get it created.
Is this the only place to talk about the translation/your patch pack, or should I just open an issue at your GitHub?
Since itch seems to be unstable (or straight down) in the last few weeks quite often...

Opening an issue works, or the discussions tab, either or is fine.
