Ohhhhhh this was so beautiful, Chim. Sob... ;---; My poor heart... it is always left in such a state of pure emotional every time I play one of your games. You always weave every element together so beautifully, whether you're creating something heartbreaking, moving (or hilarious LOL)

I don't know anything about this anime (I had actually never even heard about it before I'll admit) but this definitely made me want to watch it at some point! I love how despite the limits of the jam you made it still feel so full of life, as though you were working with so many more assets than you actually were, from the way you expertly used all of the animation and movements and camera work. Also I loved the use of the sparkly particles, they really made the scene feel vibrant and animated. The music choice was stellar -- what is it with you always using these classical pieces that somehow fit SO perfectly. Something about this one in particular felt very much like the soundtrack to animated movie, making it feel that much more like I was watching a scene straight out of the original. You made those heartbreaking emotional moments hit so much with the way you used timing and framing and effects. It was just so well done!! And your art in general is just so gorgeous and soft as always -- it fits the tone so well and felt like walking into a painting ahhhh...

I am sorry it took me a while to get to this wonderful game. It was really so beautiful. And I feel so conflicted now between the innate sadness of it juxtaposed with the soft beauty and uplifting view of the clouds. Thank you for making this wonderful little game 💕

Hey Carrot! Thank you so much for your detailed feedback!

Honestly, for this game, I really let the soul of the anime speak through me; I don't know if I have been very successful, but one thing I know for sure is that everything good about this game derives from it! And that's something I have a lot of fun with when it comes to O2A2 games: just thinking of ways to use Ren'Py to make the game looks as lively as possible, as just putting one sprite on one background might be a bit boring to most players! And I've come to think that, when it comes to Ren'Py, O2A2 is an amazing teacher since it forces me to think out of my comfort zone (although at this point, I think I do have the colour matrices thing down loool). And for the art, thank you! I tried to adapt it to the style/proportions of the anime, while keeping the painterly touch I usually do, and I'll admit this portrait of Romeo is the favourite thing I've drawn this year so far, or perhaps a close second to the illustration I used as my Patreon cover loool

Anyway, thank you so much for playing this VERY self-indulgent project, I'm glad you enjoyed it!!
