I fear that there's no technical solution for this conundrum.

If we upload the multilingual game to the comp, it will be available again for voting for the English category (technically speaking, I mean).

But I don't think it is fair to obligate you to put the new versions in a separate game; it is not optimal.

So yeah, let's do it, we can leave the game out of the English ranking when the time comes.

Also, I will ask you to fill in the blurb, something like:

"Translations presented for ECTOCOMP2025 for French and Spanish" or something like that."

My apologies for posting here. I know it's always best to create a new thread, but since the question is almost the same as this person's, I thought I'd post it here.

I wrote an interactive fiction for a JAM in Spanish. I only wrote the game in Spanish. I'm currently working with a translator to rewrite it in English and submit it to Ectocomp. The most practical way to do this is to keep the same page. So, I wrote this message in the game, which I hope will suffice:


Yes, that will suffice.

Technically is the only way to do it right now.

We will handle the complications later, but it is better to have games in than out ;)
