Man, I’ll be honest — I’m always a bit hesitant to download executable files sometimes haha, especially when Windows throws up a warning (even though I know that’s a pretty normal thing). But I decided to take a leap of faith here, and I don’t regret it — the game is great! That said, I would definitely recommend looking into exporting your games to the web if possible. (Even though, personally, I prefer downloadable versions, since browser games sometimes don’t run as well for me.)

Right at the start, something weird happened — the screen wasn’t centered, and I saw a bunch of logs showing up on the left side. Probably some kind of system incompatibility, maybe? (I’ll try attaching a screenshot here.) Even with that small issue, I was able to see the edge of the "Start" button — and that’s what saved me, because it let me actually start the game. I couldn’t click on anything else in the menu, but luckily that was enough to get going.

Now, about the gameplay — what a beautiful environment! I have to admit, I was a bit overwhelmed at first with all the particles and colors on screen, but I eventually got used to it, and it turned out to be a really fun experience. I died a few times here and there, but with some persistence I managed to get the hang of it, defeat a few enemies, and put up some solid scores.

The theme was well implemented, although I felt like the ship had a bit too much visual overlap. Still, it didn’t really hurt the readability of the shapes. I’d say the game was genuinely fun — especially thanks to the fast-paced combat combined with the constant danger of the red circles.

You’ve definitely got a solid project here, and there’s a lot of potential to expand on it. Maybe add some shooting upgrades, temporary buffs that could reverse the danger zones (making the red circles safe for a few seconds), or even a super weapon to wipe out enemies — things like that could make the gameplay even more chaotic in a fun way haha.

Congrats on the project — the game was a lot of fun despite the rough start. Wishing you the best of luck in the jam!

Thanks a lot for trying the game. About the logs, don't worry those were intentional (ill try to attach an image of what it should look like), it was mostly visual thing to show like the spaceship was booting up, we did notice that it could lead to a misunderstanding and put the spinning logo to the right, probably shouldn't have been lazy and should have written something funny to the logs instead of just taking my computer's startup logs. I am aware that the game does something weird on resolutions that ain't 1920 x 1080, that's probably what caused the screen to be off centered, sorry. Regarding the web build, we really tried but run into some weird errors and couldn't get it to work in time for the jam. When we revisit the project ill be sure to try and fix most of the problems you encountered.
Seriously, thanks a lot for giving out game an opportunity, im so glad you enjoyed it.

The startup sequence should look something like this. It should disappear and take you to the start menu as soon as you touch anything

Haha, yeah, I know what you mean with the 'Windows throwing up a warning' and you never really knowing what you're downloading. I personally believe downloadable games should poke a little fun at it and make the first sentence on screen be "Welcome to this virus - all your base are belong to us" followed with a "just kidding". Either way,  there were no changes made to my bank account, it's still as equally empty as it was before, so FRafaelHerrero's game seems pretty safe. 😉
