This reminds me of the old flash games on minigame.com or whatever it was called. There was one with balls that bounced around and you have to shoot them while not letting them crush you. This game reminds me of that cuz its sorta the same idea. Running, around avoiding falling objects.

Anyways its fun. I really like the animations the character has and the beginning where he wakes up. Good job.

There was a bug with the jumping. I didn't notice how it happened cuz it was my first play through. I was jumping and dashing, getting used to the controls then I just couldn't do either so I thought they were tied to the energy bar. Then my next play through I figured out only the dash was tied to the energy bar. So maybe its when hit jump and dash together too much?

Hello! Thanks for the review (: There is no bug. As per the tutorial in the game page, blue cookiee are disguised bugs that stun you, making you slower, unable to dash and unable to jump

I had to play the game again to make sure. Ok blue cookies do not permantley ban jumping. The bug is that I lost the ability to jump for the whole run. Correct me if I am wrong but I don't think anything in this game does that?

Again I wasn't paying attention to the exact moment the bug happened, I just noticed I couldn't jump anymore. I don't think I touched a blue cookie cuz my movement speed wasn't slowed down and I didn't have that fat appearance the blue cookies give you. But the most logical assumption would be that when I noticed I could no longer jump, I had grabbed a blue cookie at some point in the past, the effects wore off except for whatever reason the banned jump ability effect.

To help you solve this bug if you do want to bring this to a full game. I noticed this near the start of the run a little after when the other colored cookies started falling. I was avoiding them at first but then wanted to know what they did. I tried jumping for the and thats when I noticed it was on lock so I assumed the energy was tied to the jumping cuz I was on empty dashing as soon as the game started. Not knowing the dash consumed energy. lol. I was jumping too so thats why i think it could also be a pressing the controls too fast, too close together. Throughout that run I had grabbed all the colored cookies, the batteries and hit by enemies. But the jumping never came back.

This could be a one off bug that very few people will ever encounter. Resetting the game fixed it. I actually ran into one of those bugs right before I submitted my game. And recently I ran into a bug for my full game. Where the code was correct. Nothing was wrong yet it wouldn't work. But I fixed it by deleting the code and put it back in. Turning the unreal engine on/off didn't fix it but turning the code on/off did. lol. So it's not a big deal. But I do find these kinds of bugs interesting. I had another bug in the past where a boolean was suppose to turn off when you left the trigger box. But for whatever reason you could get in then out of the trigger box faster than the code could compile. Which is weird cuz code is suppose to be basically instant. But I fixed it with the tiniest delay. Basically I just needed to separate the codes from fighting each other.
