I yearn to return to tower defense.
A lot of this game almost plays like muscle memory, but I do really enjoy the bullet-hell aspect of having to then navigate the turrets you lay out on top of enemy attacks. Having chapter bosses is also a neat aspect, though an endless mode will probably be a bigger highlight for those looking at TD games.
Art style is lovely! The UI could use some polish to compliment that painterly style, I fear it currently detracts a bit. Double-check your text for typos as well and you're golden. Menus also seem to have issues if you try to pause over top of them.
