That could be helpful! You could also alter the instructions to say something like, "For each step, roll two D6 and use the results to choose the combination you like best from both columns. It's okay to use the first result for the second column, etc."
There's some language that could be made clearer in the English version that may be very clear in the French edition. That doesn't mean understanding it was impossible or hard, but easier to misinterpret slightly. But if you provide an example of play then refining the instructions won't be as necessary. I find people who play ttrpg pay more attention to examples than those who play video games.
