Main Theme: Wow this theme is so cinematic, it feels like an opening to a professional TV show. You have captured my attention for sure and have me convinced at the mystery and sinister back story that I know is going to unfold!

Crime Scene at the Dock: I really like the use of sounds from a dock like the subtle ocean sounds and the harbor bell clanging. The ticking clock is a great addition for the storytelling aspect of the game!

Interviewing Suspects at the Diner: The use of the same theme in a new context makes this feel like a true for an actual game. I think it’s cool that you used shakers, pots, and cups for percussion sounds like the music is coming from the diner itself. This is really creative!

Sheriff at the Police Station: This has a classic film noir type of sound that I expected after your title track. Your string production is superb as always, but this sul ponticello in the cello just sounds so good and works so well here!

Priest at the Church: Oh this theme is my favorite! I love the piano, harp, and choir texture and that interesting violin makes this such a calm, spiritual, and ominous piece. Excellent work with this one in particular!

Hermit at the Lighthouse: Here’s another string instrument with an interesting sound. Is this from a separate VST or is this a special technique that I just haven’t heard of? Something about the contrasting low melody with high plucks tells me we are getting close to the answer!

Alter in the Basement: Welp, you officially have me spooked. This went from mystery to horror really fast. Expertly executed. I will not be listening to this one again in the dark…

Stranger than Fiction: I won’t spoil the ending for others listening, but I must say that is a different direction than I was expecting!

Overall: The quality of your submission is top notch, as always. You have a nice clear progression through the story and while I want to know your thoughts about what happens at the end, the music speaks for itself in many ways that tells me what I need to know. Excellent work! Thank you for sharing!

I always appreciate your detailed responses in these jams! Thank you for taking the time to analyze and give your thoughts on every song!
To answer your question about the strings, I didn't use any special techniques or anything, just a lot of automation on the modulation and expression. I used a combination of Spitfire solo strings, 8dio intimate studio strings, Performance Samples Vista and EW Hollywood Strings 2. I used a lot more libraries than  usual on the advice of another composer I met with recently.
I'm glad that you liked my submission! I'll be listening to yours next I think! You always make such incredible music.
