Really good detective/clue seeking game.  Graphics were great.  Sound was great.  As others have mentioned, it would have been nice to know what all the patterns were before playing.  I think you can still edit that game page to include them as you're not changing the game.

There were a few things that were off.  Some of the text needs edited.  I had an adventurer say "We went to the dungeon and got this chest.  Can you help us?"  So I hit the space bar and they say "Can you help us?" again.  There were a couple instances where I opened the chest to reveal treasure and the adventurer said "I'm glad I steered clear of that one."  The chest they told me to have Jake open was not the chest Jake gave me.  I told him not to open it and the Jake quest disappeared with seemingly no consequences.  I had something similar with the guy from the guild quest not resolving correctly.

If you plan on expanding this, one thing I would suggest is to highlight or otherwise mark any tab that gains an entry.  I opened a mimic on somebody because I didn't realize that I had to start checking lid/base patterns.

All said, great potential and a job well done!

Thank you so much for the detailed feedback – it really means a lot! We’re glad you enjoyed the graphics, sound, and the overall detective/clue-seeking vibe.
You’re absolutely right about the patterns – we didn’t manage to add visual explanations into the game itself before the jam deadline, but for now we’ve added a legend with them on the game page for convenience.

The issues you mentioned with repeating text, mismatched quest chests, and quest resolution are very helpful to know – we’ll make sure to look into those. And that’s a great suggestion about marking tabs when new rules or entries appear, it would definitely make things clearer for players.

Thanks again for taking the time to write all this – feedback like yours is exactly what helps us polish and improve the game!
