Really cool take on a mining game, I'm impressed with how you were able to make this in 3D with such a short time frame. Some feedback I have: For a better feel with the drill letting the player hold down mouse 1 to continuously move forward I think would be far more satisfying. Also, I know there are upgrades to help mitigate this issue, but the sudden holes filled with lava/water/gas that one shot your drill and make recovery of minerals nearly impossible are a bit unfair. I think a pop-up saying something like "Warning unstable cave network detected nearby" would let the player make a more informed choice on if they want to take the risk of mining in that area or extract early and sell, adding to the fairness of the game and the theme. Great project overall very impressive!!

Thank you for your feedback! I was inspired by a board game called "deep blue" (deep sea diving for treasure). I think in hindsight my game is definitely too punishing! In all honestly the way things spawn is purely based on chance. I think I was going for something in a programming sense more true to a slot machine or a lottery scratcher but framed as a "mining game". I also agree smoother drilling would have made for more satisfying game play.

But man thank you again for playing and writing such meaningful feedback! It really means a lot!

I see you made a mining game too as your submission. I'll try it out in a bit here, thank you again!
