Thanks. I agree, the weapon degradation takes a moment to wrap your head around. The first time you use a weapon, it can be used on any monster.

Then you have to use it on monsters of lesser value than the one you last defeated with that weapon. Which means you need to pick and choose whether you’ll use your weapon, or just punch the monster.

It’s pretty tricky until you find the right balance of punching vs weapon vs running to a new room.

Thank you for giving it a fair try though. This is my first game boy dev project, so to hear it’s holding up fills me with joy.

These additional instructions are helpful and make the game easier to get into!

Having them on the main game page (along with a note about how the monster card next to the weapon fits in) might make it easier for other people too.

(An instruction page in the ROM would be a great option too)

That’s fair, I’ve added some info to the main page to explain. I was interested in adding some instructions for the ROM, but I ran out of time and I haven’t gotten around to it yet :)
