This is a really cool idea for a game, love me some metal detecting. Couldn't resist stepping on the mine when I dug it up. Also the one time I found treasure I ended up dropping it in the water on the other side of the boat haha. This is another game thats made me want to experiment with 3D in godot, what a great project, well done!
